 Description of West Central Mental Health Center WEST CENTRAL MENTAL HEALTH CENTER ("WCMHC") is a rural community out-patient, founded in 1966, to provide out-patient psychipsychosocial and psychiatric evaluations, crisis interventions, in-home support and habilitation services, day programming, education, consultations, and other mental health services to the citizens of Adair, Dallas, and Guthrie counties.
Services are provided to children (age seven and up) and adults. WCMHC currently serves more than 500 clients in a three-county catchment area. Adel, Iowa is the site of the main office, with satellite offices located in Guthrie Center and Greenfield. At each location we offer weekday and evening hours, as well as crisis intervention 24 hours a day/seven days a week. We accept Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance coverage. Clients with household incomes at or below 150% of the poverty guidelines may be eligible for reduced fees. |
